Ospray (Pandion hallaetus)
A second time on an early morning boat ride out on Lake Mälaren to shoot the Ospray’s,
and some seagulls and black-headed gulls.
Owls and the Ospray are the only raptors whose outer toe are reversible allowing them to grasp their
pray with two toes in front and two behind.
This is particularly useful when grabbing a slippery fish.
The Ospray’s ability to catch fish is showed on several of the pics.
